On Thursday, 15 October, two cases were found related to the choir. Additional tests organized in cooperation with municipalities, institutions and E.Gulbis laboratory revealed that more than 50 people are infected. Epidemiologists have yet to comment this outbreak. Nevertheless, Perevoščikovs said experts believe the choir activity was the initial factor in the spread of the virus – at least six new infections were revealed then. «We have to keep in mind that choir singing is not these people’s work. These people have their own social bubble and a specific coal circle,» said the epidemiologist, adding that this is the way the infection spreads.
